Snowflake science

Snowflake guides light in a hard-coated acrylic plate from an array of high brightness LEDs mounted in an aluminium base.
The light is scattered from the holes in the plate, making them glow like illuminated snowflakes. Thanks to the line of high intensity LEDs, all 159 snowflakes glow equally brightly.
